About my self

I am from the Netherlands (NL) and live in Dublin since November 2004. I have worked since than in a major studio for nearly a year ( www.cauldronstudios.com ), where I gained valuable experience while working closely with Ciaran Byrne and Bill Shanley.
Before I joined Cauldron studios, I worked on many live gigs and demos for local artists in the NL. During my study I also worked as assistant sound engineer in "Doornroosje", a major venue in Nijmegen (NL). At the moment I'm a freelance sound engineer working with a number of artists based in the Dublin area.
I really enjoy working in Ireland. The main reason for that is that there is a great music scene around, with plenty of talents to discover.

My style
I am a big fan for live setup recordings. I think this is an important element for creating a good vibe on record. Also the importance of overdubbing is a very important feature of a good record. This is because I like to experiment in sound when there is time to do so. I feel that analog equipment and tools allow for greater samples and effects and hence is my preference.
